Garrett- Our Groundhog

I've always wanted a groundhog. Well this summer, Garrett joined our family. Crazyman found him on the road and brought him to me. He was very tiny and we had to feed him with a syringe for the first few weeks. As he grew, we gave him fruits and veggies as well as clover and rabbitt food. After about two months of having him, he decided to start using his teeth! A few chewed up cords, plants, and yes - our wedding album (we were married on Groundhogs day, so it was only appropriate) and we decided he would do just fine in the wild! We had a lot of fun with him!!

This is how small he was when we first got him.

He loved the woodchips, he would burrow himself under all of them.

                                                   

He fit in my pocket and stayed there.
