Sunday Morning in Uganda

We just finished with Sunday morning church service at Return Ministries. What an experience! We walked down our normal red dirt path to Return and were greeted by running and screaming children ready to engulf us in hugs. We were welcomed with open arms by everyone. Pastor Samuel welcomed all who were in attendance and introduced us. We sang worship songs in both Ugandan and English. I loved figuring out which song they were singing by the music alone, and listening to it sang in a  different language.

Same song....... Different languages........One God!

The children then went into their own groups for crafts and a Bible lesson. (Thanks Teresa, Tori, and Ally for taking on all of those children!) The adults and younger teens listened to a wonderful message given by Deanne and translated by Sarah.  What an amazing way to worship God. We all come from different languages, backgrounds, ages, histories, and parts of the world - yet we are brothers and sisters in Christ. As you see in the picture above that I took of three little girls standing on their church benches, church in Uganda may not have padded chairs, comfy pews, carpet, air- condition, heat, or electricity yet there is Love for The Lord and that is what matters!

Go. Be. Love.
