Final teaching day

We had our last day of teaching for the six nurses who have been with us all week. Next week we will begin working right beside them in the NICU. I am very excited about this. It seems that the nurses are a little stressed at this time due to nursing shortages in the NICU, their pt/nurse ratio, and about their pay. They get paid by month, and they have yet to receive August's pay. The nurses were telling us that they are concerned with paying their rent and feeding their families. Hearing all of this makes me feel so blessed for what I have, yet so extremely sad for them. I wish there was something we could do for them but their government is so different than ours. We have heard that there might even be nursing strikes next week along with the doctor strikes that are already occurring. Please pray for their government and these nurses.
