High Altitude Training Center
After lunch, we visited the High Altitude Training Center which was founded by World Champion Lornah Kiplagat. It is located in Iten and sits 8000 feet above sea level. It is open to recreational athletes all the way to olympic athletes. It was awesome to see. They said a lot of the athletes won't wear shoes to train - interesting! We then went to a shop in Iten called Runners Point. They sell all kinds of running equipment for the athletes. It was in an area I would have never went by myself! They had some left over Kenya Olympic gear that we could purchase.
