Kruger Farm
Cindy, myself, and two Purdue pharmacy students, Emily and Anna left Tumaini and headed to Kruger Farm. Nelson was our driver for the day and did a fabulous job driving through mud and holes the entire way! Kruger Farm is a 5,000 acre farm located in the Sergoit hills with crops and animals. Along with their very nice farm equipment, fields, crops, silos, cows, donkeys, impalas, and pigs, they had 13 giraffes. We walked to the giraffes and got way closer than I ever thought I would. It was amazing to see them in a natural habitat! There were even a few babies. We did find out that farm has been sold and will be turned into a golf course. The giraffes get to stay though! How about a golf game with onlooking giraffes!?!
