Ugandan Flowers

The landscaping here is beautiful. Everywhere you walk, there are bright colored flowers and foliage. I have really enjoyed seeing all the different varieties of Ugandan plants. Mom- you would love it - and with all the rain in Uganda, Tori might be able to keep a plant alive here!

The kids had a fascination with our hair. They liked to play with the long hair yet they enjoyed the guys short hair and arm hair as well.  I laughed once because a young boy had a piece of my hair, and he was showing his friend. He put the one piece of hair on his head and said, "a mzungu hair!" They also loved to put flowers in our hair- of course, we let them! One of the adults told me that the kids like to suck the nectar out of the small red flowers, so we should feel special that they sacrificed so many flowers for our hair!
